From in and with comprises a complex material investigation that takes the form of texts, photographs, drawings and architectural plans to explore how the gendering of architectural space is structured by relations of power and authority. Working with descriptive texts provided by six architects Alice Casey, Culturstruction, Grainne Hassett, Ruth Morrow, Jane Rendell and Ellen Rowley spaces ranging from the home, office, prison, school, street, and factory are considered in relation to the translation between fields of knowledge ( art and architecture), chance, compliance and exclusion.
