The sound work, made for listening on a portable cassette player, narrates observations made by Tallentire’s passenger on a random car journey through the Square Mile of London. The narration was based on an instruction to speak the names of streets when seen to produce an incomplete and partial audio mapping of the area determined by the given circumstances at the time such as speed and volume of traffic, road blocks and ability to decipher frequently unfamiliar signage.
